The Department has grown steadily since its inception in 2004 and currently offers a three-year MCA program and a two-year MCA (Direct Second Year) program. Both the programs are governed by AICTE, New Delhi, and are affiliated with JNTU Ananthapuramu. The Department is committed to foster value-based education and socially responsible professionalism, contributing to the holistic development of students and society. Its primary objective is to educate and prepare students to become dynamic, competent, and knowledgeable professionals. The Department’s core strengths are excellent academic results, state-of-the-art computer laboratories, well-defined & well-documented academic and administrative processes, and comprehensive student counselling services encompassing both personal and academic guidance.
The Department was granted UGC Autonomous status in 2014 and has been successfully offering its programs in full compliance with all prescribed requirements. The College Academic Council and the Department’s Board of Studies continuously strive to deliver quality education through a contemporary and industry-oriented curriculum, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in today’s competitive and dynamic business environment.
The Department regularly organizes Faculty Development Programs, conferences, seminars, symposiums, and workshops focusing on emerging areas and advanced technologies. Guest lectures are conducted by eminent professors and experienced industry professionals from reputed IT organizations and top-ranked universities. The Department has an excellent placement record, with all eligible and competent students securing positions in renowned national and international organizations. The M.C.A. program offered by the Department of Computer Applications is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
