Computer Science & Engineering - Cyber Security

About Us

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) was established in 2020 with an initial intake of 60 students, which increased to 120 in 2023 and further expanded to 180 in 2024. The Department offers an undergraduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), designed to produce competent professionals equipped with strong theoretical foundations and practical skills to secure modern software and hardware systems. The B.Tech. programme emphasizes advanced learning in areas such as ethical hacking, artificial intelligence, and web and data security.

The Department is supported by robust infrastructural facilities that enable high-quality education aligned with current industry needs. It has a team of well-qualified and experienced faculty members with significant academic and industry expertise. To foster continuous learning and skill enhancement among students and faculty, the Department regularly organizes Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), seminars, workshops, and technical symposiums.

Under Graduate

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Program

The Department has the best undergraduate program required for the IT industry. The course curriculum for the undergraduate program gives the flexibility to the students to prepare for advanced specializations. The department commits to offer a set of electives so that students can plan their academic program in advance. The course structure provides a right mix of compulsory and elective courses.

Curriculum

The B.Tech Program is divided into two distinct parts. Every student has to go through a common program called Core Curriculum. Most of the core curriculum is completed within the first four semesters. The last four semesters have many professional courses, that initiate the student towards the topics in Computer Science & Engineering. The Core Curriculum consists of compulsory courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences and Technical Arts.

The Professional Curriculum consists of courses and Project Work. There are some compulsory courses along with a significant number of professional electives as well.

Department Information:

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in Cyber Security was established in 2020. The course offers 4-year degree, which is flexible and has been structured to meet the evolving needs of the IT industry.

Department Activities:

“To train the students to enhance their managerial skills on par with Industry the department conducts IT games and special classes on regular basis to trigger the creative thoughts of the students and to improve their personality.”

Computer Lab:

The Cyber Security Computer Lab is located at South Block First Floor building with centralized A/c and it is equipped with 73 Systems with the latest Processor of i7 13th Generation with RAM 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, 8GB NVIDIA T1000 Graphic Card and HP-21.5” FHD Monitor. Internet facility is provided to all the students with an independent workstation.

Department Infrastructure

To facilitate effectual teaching and learning activities, the department has excellent infrastructure, which include:

  • Upgraded Computer Facilities
  • Well-Stocked Department Library

The Well-Equipped labs help the students to explore beyond the standard curriculum. Apart from the regular labs, research lab is also available for faculties and students to carry out their research and project work. All the labs are allotted to the students as per the timetable in a week. The maintenance of infrastructure is carried out on a timely and thorough manner to ensure the maximum availability and minimum downtime of the equipment and services. All the lab facilities and services are made available to the students even in the after-hours and holidays to enable their maximum utilization.
