About Us

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in 1998 and has been playing a vital role in producing value-based professionals. The department offers 4-year undergraduate program and 2-year postgraduate program to cater the ever-challenging needs of technical excellence in the emerging areas of Computer Science & Engineering. The course is designed in a flexible and structured way to meet the evolving needs of the IT industry. The CSE department has eminent faculty  with rich academic and industry exposure who have pursued Masters/Ph.D. Degree from prestigious institutions like NITs, IITs, and Central Universities within India and abroad. Many research activities in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are under progress. The department has good interactions and MoUs with leading Industries for technology domain Training & Development.

The Department regularly organizes Symposia, Exhibitions, Conferences, Seminars and Workshops for students , Faculty and to  Research Scholars who belong to various Technical Educational Institutions, and Industries all over India.
CSE students got placement offers in various top MNCs like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Mind Tree etc., with a package  of more than 4.5 Lakhs to 24 LPA. The department also offers training in certification programs and encourages students in self-learning with MooCs such as NPTEL, Microsoft, Coursera, edX, etc. The students can become the members of CSI, IEEE, ISTE, ACM, etc and can participate in various activities through these professional bodies.

The Department is committed to encourage students/researchers to carry out innovative research in the field of Computer Science & Engineering, keeping excellence in focus and deliver quality services to match the needs of the technical education system, industry and society. The research outcomes are presented/published in National / International Conferences / Journals.

The Department is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Under Graduate

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Program

The Department has the best undergraduate program required for the IT industry . The course curriculum for the undergraduate program gives the flexibility to the students to prepare for advanced specializations. The department commits to offer a set of electives so that students can plan their academic program in advance. The course structure provides a right mix of compulsory and elective courses.

Curriculum

The B.Tech Program is divided into two distinct parts. A student has to go through a common program called Core Curriculum. Most of the core curriculum is completed within the first four semesters. The last four semesters have many professional courses, can  initiate the student towards the  topics in Computer Science & Engineering. The Core Curriculum consists of a package of compulsory courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences and Technical Arts.

The Professional Curriculum consists of courses and Project Work. There are some compulsory courses along with  a significant number of professional electives as well.

Department Information:

Department of Computer Science & Engineering offers 4-year degree, which was established in the year 1998. The course is flexible and has been structured to meet the evolving needs of the IT industry. The Department is offering M.Tech - (C.S.E) for the academic year 2024-- 2025.

Department Activities:

  • To train up the students to enhance their managerial skills on par with the industry
  • Conducting IT games & classes to boost up the creative thoughts and to improve their personality

Computer Lab:

The computer center is located in three floor circular building with centralized A/c and it is equipped with 575 P – IV systems with latest configuration and 3 servers. Internet facility is provided to all the students with an independent workstation.

Parent-Teacher Meet

Parents meeting is conducted at the Department every semester. At these meetings parents are briefed, by the department faculty and the respective mentors of their wards, about:

The department has ample labs, even beyond curriculum requirements,the which are used students from all years ot study. The labs are allotted to the students for every week as per the timetable. Apart from the regular labs, research lab is also available for faculties and students to carry out their research and project work.The maintenance of infrastructure and facilities at the Department is carried out in a timely and thorough manner to ensure maximum availability and minimum downtime of the equipment and services.
