About Us
MITS's vision is to become a globally recognized academic and research higher education institution. MITS has recruited faculty members with doctoral degrees from reputed foreign universities all around the world. Many of MITS professors also have post-doctoral or industrial experience from abroad. MITS has also hosted faculty from abroad through seminars and conferences.
The culture of internationalization comes when we send our students abroad for Internship programs, student exchanges, short-term laboratory research or summer study programs as well as students from Partner Institutions come to our Institute under exchange banner. Students can compete for several types of study-abroad scholarships to support their quest for international experience. MITS International Relations Office is responsible for handling Institution level international affairs including Outbound and Inbound opportunities.
MITS focus on sending students abroad for international experience started from 2016 when the 1st batch of students went for University Innovation Fellowship Program of d.school. Hasso Plattner Institute, Stanford University, California, USA. This process further accelerated when 1st batch of 5 students went to Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan for fully-paid full semester internships.

Promotion of Institution’s Internationalization and Academic Exchanges.
Mission
To promote academic collaborations and faculty and student exchange programs with foreign universities and research organizations.
To handle MoUs of academic collaboration with foreign universities and institutions.
To facilitate MITS students' internships, scholarships and other opportunities for global exposure.
To serve as the international contact and assist visiting faculty and foreign students.
To help international students with their life in India and Madanapalle (including admission information, academic, and psychological counselling)
Short-term Objectives
- Encourage MITS faculty members and students to avail global opportunities.
- Setup efficient service for international communication.
- Encourage outstanding students and provide increased opportunities to participate in internship & scholarship programs of top ranked Institutions like NTU- India Connect Program, USC Viterbi Scholarship (University of Southern California) , S N Bose Scholars program (Fulbright), Globalink Research Internship- Canada etc.

- To establish MITS name in the international horizons.
- To advance MITS academic reputation internationally
International Relations Office:
Dr. S. Narayanan is the Advisor- International Relations Office, under whose guidance the IRO operates. IRO of Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science is headed by Dr. Sremmant Basu, Dean of Administrations & International Relations & Administration, supported by Mrs. U. Vijaya Lakshmi, Senior Manager International Relations & professional Counsellor and Mrs. P. L. Susmitha, Assistant Manager. All the departments have international coordinators and country specific coordinators as well.

About us
The University Innovation Fellows program empowers students to become agents of change at their schools. The Fellows are a global community of students leading a movement to ensure that all students gain the necessary attitudes, skills and knowledge required to compete in the economy of the future. These student leaders from schools around the world create new opportunities that help their peers develop an entrepreneurial mindset, build creative confidence, seize opportunities, define problems and address global challenges.
Fellows are creating student innovation spaces, founding entrepreneurship organizations, hosting experiential events, and working with faculty and administrators to develop courses. They serve as advocates for lasting institutional change with academic leaders and represent their schools at national events.
The University Innovation Fellows is a program of Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school). The program was created as part of the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation (Epicenter), a five-year National Science Foundation grant.

Prof. Cédric Bornand working in the Reconfigurable & Embedded Digital Systems (REDS) Institute of the HEIG-VD, Switzerland visited MITS on 27th October 2023 and discussed with the administrators about the opportunities in Switzerland.

Visit of Japanese Delegation on: 31st July to 2nd August 2023.
Japanese Delgation comprising of Prof. Yukari Shirota, Gakushuin University, and Prof. Tetsuji Kuboyama from Gakushuin University, and Prof. Takako Hashimoto from Chiba University of Commerce-Japan, visited Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science campus on 31st July.
As part of this, an interaction session with students and faculty was organized on 1st of August, Prof. Takako Hashimoto enabled the students about IEEE ethics and their purpose. Prof. Tetsuji Kuboyama enabled the faculty and students about more opportunities in the fields of construction, machine parts and tool industry, electronics and information, ship building and ship machinery, etc. as more than 60 lakh job opportunities will be created in Japan by 2030.
Further, the School of Management and School of Computing will work on joint research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, and Data Science. This is a good opportunity to encourage students and faculty in academic excellence and innovation.

Visit of Asia University Delegation (5 Deans) on 7th July 2023
The delegation comprises: Dr. Yinghuei Chen- Dean of International College, Dr. Jiunn-Jong Wu Dean of College of Medical and Health Sciences, Dr. Ching-Hsien Hsu Dean of College of Information and Electrical Engineering, Dr. Chun-Wei Lin- Dean of College of Management, Dr. Charles C.N. Wang Dean of Industry Academia Collaboration.
5 Deans from Asia University- Taiwan, which is one of the world’s top 900 universities, visited MITS on 7th July 2023. MITS entered into Memorandum of Understanding with Asia University-Taiwan in November 2017 for a period of 5 years and as a result many academic activities like internships, collaborative activities. The MoU was renewed.
Further, a Memorandum of Agreement with the College of Information and Electrical Engineering and also with the College of Management of Asia University - Taiwan MITS signed an MoA for further academic collaboration. This visit is very significant as many of MITS students will get good opportunities to do research, internships and also MS programs in Asia University - Taiwan.
Prof . Yinghuei Chen Dean of International College of Asia University Taiwan is leading the entire team during their visit to India. The delegation comprises of 5 Deans and will be in the campus to discuss with the administrators about the future collaborative activities. - A three-day Program of International Delegation from BRNO University of Technology – Czech Republic- Europe Prof. Jiri HAZE Head of Microelectronics Dept and Dr. Pavel STEFFAN Associate Professor and Secretary of the Dept of Microelectronics in BRNO University of Technology – Czech Republic- Europe visited MITS from 20-02-2023 to 23-02-2023. The team entered into a detailed discussion on the outline of the MoU with MITS towards 1+3 Semesters MS Program in Microelectronics as a collaborative of MITS and BRNO University of Technology. The team also interacted with the students of ECE & EEE and inspired them about the trending technologies in the field of semiconductors. They also motivated the students to study MS in Microelectronics in BRNO University of Technology-Czech Republic Europe.
- Prof. Uday Kiran Rage from AIZU University – Japan visited MITS on 30-12-2022. He interacted with International Relations Office and the administrators regarding the MoU and research activities with AIZU University in Japan. The draft MoU has been shared and it is under progress for finalization.
- Prof. Subhas Mukhopadhyay from Macquarie University Sydney- Australia visited MITS on 29-12-2022. He interacted with the HoDs, administrators and the faculty for collaborative & research activities with Macquarie University Sydney- Australia. Thereafter, a guest lecture was conducted in the Seminar Hall for the benefit of Mechanical & Computer Science students, highlighting the higher education opportunities in Australia.
- A Virtual Session by Dr. Vladimir Kulish - Visiting Professor of Czech Technical University, Czech Republic- Europe: He highlighted about the “Higher Education Opportunities in Europe" for the benefit of students of ECE & EEE. The event took place in MITS Auditorium on 07-09-2022.
- Dr. Sremmant Basu visited BRNO University of Technology- Czech Republic from 07-06-2022 to 11-06-2022 along with Dr. Vladimir Kulish visiting professor MITS. The team met Prof. Jiri HAZE Head of the dept of Microelectronics and the other administrators and discussed way forward for 1+3 Semesters MS Program Model.
- A Virtual Session by Dr. Vladimir Kulish - Visiting Professor of Czech Technical University, Czech Republic- Europe. He enlightened the students of Management Studies Department on the topic," Opportunities in Europe." The event had happened in MITS Auditorium on 04-08-2020.
- Mr. Phani Madhav Jathi, Senior manager, Citrix Systems from USA had addressed the students of School of Computing, on 20th June, 2022 on the topic in “Global Career opportunities in Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning. The career talk gave the students a lot of insights on 20-06-2022.
- IRAW Workshop ( 16-06-2022 to 18-06-2022- 3 days)
Prof. Eswar Sunkara – Senior Researcher Pusan National University- Republic of Korea visited and conducted “3 Day First International Research Program (IRAW) for the faculty, in collaboration with Pusan National University, IIST, NARL, MoES & NASA. This program had set a pathway to innovative research programs. The program was conducted from 16-06-2022 to 18-06-2022. In this program Mr. Sisir Koppaka, hon’ble Academic Council Member, Executive Director Ms. Keerthi Nadella ( MITS Management) and the Principal Dr. C. Yuvarj and all the faculty extended a hearty welcome to the distinguished scientists and resource persons to MITS campus.
The Guest of Honour of the event was Dr. Venkat Ratnam (Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Awardee) Senior Scientist, Head National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL), Tirupati. Prof. Rambabu Kodali Director of MITS and Prof. Brian has signed in the MoU, between two institutions to initiate Transcendental Meditation Classes in MITS and to foster research collaborations.
- Prof. Brian Levine Professor in Neuro Science ( Maharshi Vedic University – Holland) and Sri. Chandra Sekhar visited the campus on 4th September 2019, addressed the faculty of MCA Dept and also took a session in the Induction Program for the MBA & MCA new entrants.
- Dr. Vladimir Kulish, (Professor & former Vice Chancellor of Avantika University) Czech Technological University, Prague visited MITS and was in the campus from 26th August to 29th August 2019 (3 days) to establish global connectivity. He interacted with Deans & HoDs of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering faculty to explore the avenues for international collaborations, internships & other Exchange Programs.
- Mr. R. Premanand, Center Head, Mr. Pritam Save, Marketing Manager & Mr. Sailesh Davey Senior Marketing Manager from AZENT OVERSEAS EDUCATION LIMITED conducted a Seminar on 28th August 2019 in MITS Auditorium on, “ Higher Education opportunities in1000+ TOP Universities abroad USA • Canada • Uk Ireland • Australia New Zealand • Germany” and interacted with the students extending admission and free IELTS coaching.
- Mr. Praveen Career Counsellor from APNRT (AP Govt Non-Resident Telugu Society) visited MITS on 26th August 2019 to create awareness about the Govt Program & support to go abroad for higher studies. He interacted with the students and enabled the students about Vidya Vahini program and also the avenues for obtaining the funds for higher education abroad.
- Dr. George Ghinea, Reader in Computer Science – Department of Computer Science at Brunel University & Dr. Sridhar Swaminathan, Assistant Professor at Bennett University, Greater Noida visited the campus on 14th May 2019. The team interacted with MITS - AI team and Heads of the departments to give an overview of the importance of Artificial Intelligence in Leading India & exploring research collaborations with Bennett University & Brunel University London, UK.
- Prof. Dr. Neng-Shu Yang President, Prof. Yu-Hsun Nien, Vice Dean of Office of International Affairs and Ms. Carol Qiu, Manager-International Relations of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YUNTECH) -Taiwan visited the campus on 16th April 2019. The President signed the MoU on setting up of Mandarin language training center & arranging a teacher to train the students. The President and the team addressed the faculty & students and created awareness about MS & Ph.D. programs in YUNTECH-Taiwan.
- Mr. Kobayashz, CEO & owner of Conomity and Mr. Kentaro Kuroiwa, H R Manager from Tokyo –Japan, visited MITS on 6th March 2019 along with Dr. G.S. Saggu and Mr. Manish Gupta of Orion Productions & Consulting Pvt. Ltd, Japan and interacted with MITS students and created an awareness about the job opportunities in Japan.
- National Yunlin University of Science & Technology- Taiwan Dean of International Relations & Professor in Mechanical Engineering Prof. Dr. Stanley Tseng and Ms. Carol Qiu- Manager -International Relations visited MITS on 13th February 2019 and signed an agreement to establish Mandarin Language Centre along with a trainer in MITS Campus.
- Dr. S. Eswar, Senior Researcher, Space Science Laboratory, Department of Astronomy and Space Science, Chungnam National University, visited MITS on 28th January 2019. There is a proposal for initiating future space research activities in MITS.
- Prof. Soo Hyun Park, President, Special Communication Research Center and Prof. Soo Young Shin, Vice-President, Special Communication Research Center from Kookmin University visited MITS as part of MoU between Special Communication Research Center (SPRC), Kookmin University, Seoul, South Korea, and were in the campus from 17th to 20th December 2018.

- Mr. Vinay N Director- INDIA SILVERPEAK GLOBAL PRIVATE LTD, Bangalore visited MITS on 30th of August 2018, to create awareness on “Opportunities in Japan & Japanese Language Proficiency” addressed students of all Engineering branches from 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM in Main Seminar Hall.
- Prof. William Oakes Director EPICS Purdue University & Dr. Kantha Reddy, Director of IUCEE India Epics Team & Irlapati Nagababu APSSDC visited MITS on 3rd July 2018, to conduct IUCEE-EPICS workshop (Engineering Projects In Community Services) in Scale-Up Classroom. He visited the campus, addressed the Research &Develop Department, interacted with the faculty involved in the societal projects.
