A Three-Day National Seminar on “AI Ethics and Responsible
Technology: Building Trustworthy and Human-Centered Systems” is sponsored by the Anusandhan
National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India. Established under the ANRF Act,
2023, ANRF serves as the apex national agency for promoting research, innovation, and
entrepreneurship across diverse disciplines. It fosters collaboration among academia,
industry, research institutions, and government organizations to strengthen India's research
ecosystem and advance scientific excellence in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat
2047. Through initiatives such as this seminar, ANRF supports knowledge dissemination,
interdisciplinary collaboration, and responsible innovation that addresses national
priorities and global challenges.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine
Learning), Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) – Deemed to be University,
is organizing this National Seminar from 10–12 August 2026. The seminar aims to bring
together Researchers, Academicians, Young Scientists and Industry Professionals to
deliberate on the ethical, societal, and technological dimensions of Artificial Intelligence
and its responsible adoption.
The seminar will provide a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas and discussing emerging
challenges in developing trustworthy AI systems. The technical program will feature keynote
lectures, invited talks, expert panel discussions, and interactive knowledge-sharing
sessions covering themes such as Human-Centered AI, Bias and Fairness in AI Systems,
Transparency and Explainability, Accountability in AI, Ethical Challenges in Generative AI,
AI Governance and Emerging Regulations, AI for Social Good, Privacy and Security, and
Responsible Technology Development.
By bringing together experts from academia, research organizations, industry, and
government, the seminar seeks to promote ethical AI practices, encourage interdisciplinary
collaborations, and inspire innovative research that contributes to building transparent,
inclusive, sustainable, and human-centered AI systems for the benefit of society.
