SPORTS EXCELLENCE AWARD (MEN & WOMEN)

The basic objective of the award is to serve as an incentive to the achievers and an inspiration to the upcoming sports persons of MITS College. This award goes to an individual (male or female) athlete who has achieved outstanding results in respect to their performances at an International, National and / or state level.

The best sports persons (Men & Women) were given cash award, medal & Certificate under this scheme according to the “MITS College Sports Awards Criteria Points System” during Annual Day celebration.

MITS RECOGNITION OF SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT

These Awards are given annually, in recognition of exceptional student achievement in Sports. This is the most prestigious award that we give in recognition of excellence in individual or team sports.

“The Transport Division is formed to take care of the smooth operation of Vehicles”.

MITS - Deemed to be University has a fleet of 35 buses and 20 cars to transport students and staff from MITS, Angallu to various places and back.

Additional route bus services from different corners of the town will be made available on demand basis.

Instructions to the parents

  • The college reserves the right to modify, merge or cancel any proposed route(s) without assigning any reason.
  • The seats will be allotted on first come first sit basis for every academic year, through an application. (see no.3)
  • New routes/buses will be introduced subject to the number of students and availability of buses. Decision of the institute will be final in this regard.
  • Request for the extension or diversion of route(s) and additional stops will NOT be considered for the existing routes.
  • Parents are requested to note their suggestions / requests / complaints with the Transport Manager or Principal ONLY. Arguing with faculty in charges / drivers will lead to the cancellation of the transport facility.

Instructions to the Students

  • Students MUST possess the college and transport Identity cards, and show the same to the faculty in charges/driver as and when asked.
  • The seats will be allotted on the first come first sit basis for every academic year, through an application. (see no.3)
  • Ragging and indecent behavior in the buses is strictly prohibited.
  • Students MUST be in their respective bus stops 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Chasing the bus or forcing the driver to stop the bus is not permitted.
  • Students MUST NOT Activate loudspeakers of their cell phones / I-pods, in the bus are prohibited.
  • clapping, whistling, shouting using abusive language in the bus are prohibited.
  • Students MUST NOT keep hands / any other parts of the body out of windows.
  • Boys and girls MUST occupy separate seats.
  • Arguing with faculty in charges / drivers will lead to the cancellation of the transport facility.
  • All complaints MUST be lodged in writing with the Transport Department, MITS only.
  • Any damage to the seats, window glasses or any other components of the bus (including writing with pens on the bus) will be charged double.
  • Students MUST deboard the bus immediately after reaching the college and are permitted to board again after 4.00 pm only.
  • Students MUST NOT leave their belongings (Bags, Books, drafters etc.) in the buses. The Transport Department will not be held responsible for any loss of belongings.
  • In case the bus breakdown, students MUST follow the instructions of the in charge/driver, should make their own arrangement if alternative arrangement is not provided.
  • NOTE: The students must follow the above instructions carefully and co-operate with the faculty in charges / drivers for smooth operation of the buses, failing which, the transport facility will be withdrawn.

How to apply for Transport?

  • Submit the duly filled application form in the office of the In-charge, Students Transport Facility along with two passport size photographs for allocation of the seat.
  • Separate Identity cards will be issued to the students who apply for transportation.
Canteen Facilities

A high-quality canteen offering Indian and Continental cuisine in a hygienic environment is available on campus for both staff and students.”

Wi-Fi Connectivity

The campus is connected to the World Wide Web through a high-speed 2 Gbps leased line operating 24/7, provided by Bharti Airtel and BSNL. The internet connection is distributed across the campus via a robust network infrastructure and intranet that connects various laboratories, departmental subnets, workshops, the library, administrative offices, and classrooms. All nodes are interconnected through structured cabling using CAT6 cables. The campus also features extensive wireless connectivity with sufficient indoor access points, enabling Wi-Fi 6 internet access throughout the premises. These facilities effectively support the computing, information processing, and multimedia requirements of the entire college.

About Digital Library

The Galileo Integrated Digital Learning Center (GDLC)  supports over 117 different types of devices and more than 11 protocols. It houses an extensive collection of books, faculty tools, simulations, industry case studies, virtual labs, language labs, animations, presentations, videos, magazines, and journals. All these resources can be accessed through both wired and wireless devices, ensuring seamless digital learning for students and faculty.”

  • Access to more than 28,000 e-books, available in converted PowerPoint presentation formats.
  • The GDLC system supports between 2,000 and 6,000 simultaneous sessions, depending on the configuration deployed.
  • Ostalia (a Linux-based operating system) runs on Android smartphones and tablets and includes built-in advanced accessibility features, making these devices particularly accessible to people with disabilities.
  • The server configuration is three times more powerful than the existing Digital Library server, featuring 8 cores, 6 TB of storage, and 8 GB of RAM.
  • Branch-wise, subject-wise, and class-wise e-books, lecture notes, videos, and PDFs are available through various digital libraries
  • It complies with the guidelines of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education for serving as a Digital Library in Education (DLE) nodal point.
  • Students can copy and take home content related to a particular subject or topic
  • More than 7,000 animations are available to support English communication skills.
  • Through the Galileo Integrated Digital Learning Center (GDLC), users can access a wide range of digital library books.
